DaGabi Cucina and North Boulder Liquor Launch DAY Cabernet Sauvignon | October 8, 2012
Boulder contemporary artist Will Day and Organic Vintners present this limited-edition collector’s wine featuring Day’s latest piece, Genesis; DAY Organic Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from La Rioja region of Argentina. Will utilized the mountainous, rugged topography as the basis for his inspiration of this colorful and contemporary label created specifically for this varietal.
In collaboration with businesses from their North Boulder neighborhood, DAY Organic Cabernet will be launched on Thursday, October 18th, at Dagabi Cucina and North Boulder Liquor. The wine will be featured on the Dagabi menu for those enjoying a meal, and will also be available to sample at the bar throughout the happy hour. Full bottles will be available for purchase through North Boulder Liquor for only $18.49.
An award-winning contemporary and abstract artist, Will has taken the road less traveled on his path to becoming an artist. With a background in finance and a master’s degree in architecture, Will seeks out opportunities to combine his unique business background and sought-after art with local businesses using innovative marketing strategies.
Boulder based Organic Vintners is America’s premier organic wine importer representing more than 40 certified organic wines from eight countries.
Noah Westby’s Dagabi Cucina, has been a neighborhood eatery for over 18 years. Dagabi features distinguished dishes from Spain, including paella with special saffron grown in Chef Anotonio’s family farm in Spain. Another highlight is the patio; one of Boulder’s only patios without traffic noise, it’s a great spot for families and kids.
North Boulder Liquor has been family owned and operated serving the Boulder community since 1939. Lynda and Pete Conis took over 41 years ago and daughter Stephana Conis Ryder is the 2nd generation owner. Their long-standing staff is committed to providing personal, knowledgeable service—whether to a wine novice or scotch connoisseur.
It’s fitting that the collaboration between Will and Paolo grew from a painting appropriately titled Genesis. This wine marks the beginning of a professional partnership that has produced the perfect wine to begin the end of a great DAY.

Geometry Satellite or the Curiosity RoverA Steamboat Springs Arts Council pop-up gallery collaboration with K. Saari GalleryFirst Friday Opening Reception:September 7, 2012 from 5 – 8 p.m.Exhibition Dates:September 7 – 16, 2012Location: 635 Lincoln Avenue, in Old Town Square(in the former Quicksilver retail store)Please join us First Friday, September 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. for the opening of a temporary exhibition that will take place for two weeks. The Steamboat Springs Arts Council and K. Saari Gallery will collaborate on this pop-up exhibition presenting contemporary artworks from Christie Ginanni Stepan, Beth Banning, Siobhan Feehan, Will Day, Park Myers, Susan Oehme, Derek Frech, and Kenneth Ober. The show is curated by the SSAC’s Park Myers. The gallery will be open Tuesday – Saturday 12 to 3 p.m.
Geometry Satellite or the Curiosity Rover will feature works that establish notions of geometry, perspective and interpretations of georelational data. The space will be transformed into a satellite gallery from the main gallery of the Eleanor Bliss Center for the Arts at the Depot. With a nod to the goals of the Curiosity Rover, which recently landed on Mars to act as a mobile geologist and chemist in order to remotely produce data for the purposes of further understanding of the Martian geological landscape, certain works place the artist in a similar position of interpretation. Related in process, yet differing in output, other works will distort perspective and geometry to place the viewer and the artwork in an optical rapport. This exhibition will exist in a vacant, yet dynamic retail space. Multiple floor levels, exposed flooring and original structures will act as a means for viewers to explore the exhibition on a more physical level than that of a traditional gallery space. The space, Old Town Square owned by Resort Development Group, LLP, was generously donated by Reginald and Pamela Gray.

Fruits of Labor… | August 7, 2012
Will Day has returned to home base (Boulder) after a very successful and productive trip to Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, and San Diego. If you are just catching up on Will Day’s latest, he created a “pop-up studio” on the ground floor of Desmond’s, an innovative commercial space in downtown L.A., where he produced some funky new pieces. Desmond’s was a great venue for Will to not only work on multiple pieces at one time, but it served as a central gallery space for new collectors, interior designers, and gallery owners to view willdayART in person.
Here are a few “fruits” of Will’s labor…
